Calculate employee and employer PF and ESI contributions from Basic+DA and gross salary.
About this calculator
Provident Fund and ESI are split between employee and employer, and PF itself splits further into EPF and EPS on the employer side. This works out every leg of both contributions from your Basic+DA and gross salary.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between EPF and EPS?
Both are employer PF contributions. EPS (Employee Pension Scheme) gets 8.33% of Basic, capped at a ₹15,000 wage base (max ₹1,250/month) - the rest of the employer's 12% goes to EPF, the employee's actual provident fund balance.
Should I cap PF wages at ₹15,000?
The statutory PF wage ceiling is ₹15,000/month, but many employers voluntarily contribute PF on the full Basic instead. Toggle the option to match your company's actual policy.
Does ESI apply above ₹21,000 gross?
No - ESI only applies when gross monthly wages are ₹21,000 or less. Above that, both contributions are zero.
