What is a pdf rotate?
PDF Rotate helps you correct sideways or upside-down PDF pages directly in your browser. Rotate one page or every page by 90 or 180 degrees, switch between portrait and landscape, and check the live preview before downloading. Original page content is preserved, with no signup or file upload to a server.
How to use this tool
- 1Choose or drop one unlocked PDF, up to 100 MB and 500 pages.
- 2Select a page using the page menu or Previous/Next buttons.
- 3Click Rotate left or Rotate right to turn the page by 90 degrees. Click twice for an upside-down page.
- 4Check Apply rotation to all pages before rotating to turn the entire document. Reset restores all pages to their uploaded orientation.
- 5Click Download PDF. The download starts automatically with the original filename followed by _rotated.pdf.

Frequently asked questions
Can I rotate just one page?
Yes. Select the page and leave Apply rotation to all pages unchecked, then click Rotate left or Rotate right. Other pages keep their current orientation.
Does rotation reduce PDF quality?
No rasterization is used for the export. The tool updates page rotation while retaining the original page content, including text and images. Scanned pages keep their existing image quality.
Does portrait to landscape reformat the text?
No. Each click turns the page by 90 degrees. It does not reflow text, crop content or resize the underlying paper. Square pages remain square.
What will the downloaded file be called?
The original filename is kept with _rotated inserted before the PDF extension. For example, invoice.pdf downloads as invoice_rotated.pdf.
Are my PDFs uploaded or stored?
Your PDF is processed in browser memory on your device. The tool does not upload the file to a server or store it in browser storage.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. The page controls and download button work with touch on mobile browsers.
Are password-protected PDFs supported?
Choose an unlocked PDF. Password-protected or invalid files are rejected. The maximum supported input is 100 MB and 500 pages.
